HRM O GAUGE LAYOUT -- EAST DEAN

A few pictures taken at the Farnborough Exhibition Nov 2008

Hillingdon Railway Modellers meet regularly on a Thursday Evening at the Yiewsley Baptist Church Hall in West Drayton.

They have built a substantial 0 Gauge test track which is being extended and upgraded to accommodate DCC. Alongside which they have an exhibition layout called EAST DEAN.

On occasions they host additional open days on Saturdays, currently the Church Hall is having some major works doing to it and these extra days are likely to be rare this year.

The following pictures were taken when East Dean was exhibited at Farnborough in November 2008, and are just a sample of those we took during the day.

Shows what can be done in O Gauge even with limited space.

Railcar service waiting at East Dean station ready for the days "rush hour" traffic.

One in and one out during a busy few mins at the approach to East Dean. The local services depart

while a goods train waits to pass through. Good to see the event well attended throughout both days.

The sheep make their way to market across the bridge at East Dean (left), while loading continues in the busy goods yard (right). A typical exciting days work in the village of East Dean.

Further images and updates will be generated as time allows. Hope to include more of my fathers excellent modelling in O Gauge, which will appear along with our other sites at the following link.
